On December 1st 1955 Rosa Parks got on a bus at court square bus stop. The first five rows were reserved for white people. Rosa sat in the sixth row which was considered no mans and. at the next stop a white man was seatless and the bus driver demanded the whole row to get up. No body moved the first time he asked but the second time the people in the seats next to rosa and the gentlemen next to her got up and moved to the back but rosa remained seated. Because of her actions she was throw in jail. Hours after black activists from montgomery would get together boycotts of the city buses. Montgomery chose Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to lead them in a non violent rebellion across the south. African Americans in montgomery would ride bikes around town to get where they needed to an organize car pools.
